Card Tricks

Card tricks are often fun for those who can do them, and for those who get to see them. There is something about the illusion of magic that makes people want to see more. Magic is a long time hobby for many people, and has been around for ages. Card tricks are the most common tricks done by those who do tricks at parties or to entertain friends. Not only are they great fun, they are easier than they look.

I only know one card trick, but it’s a good one. I am pretty clumsy actually, and I am amazed when I can pull it off. It’s a matter of concentration, and the ability to move my hands fast enough for the other person to be a little confused. At the same time, I have to direct their attention somewhere else so they aren’t watching what I am doing. I guess those are the basics to any magic trick, but for me, it’s pretty hard. As with any card tricks, you have to practice to get it right.

You can find all sorts of card tricks on the Internet. Some are kits you can order with everything you need to learn a few basic card tricks. Other times, you can find instructions on how to do some different tricks, and how to do them right. If you are a bit clumsy like I am, it may take you a while to get the hang of it, but given time, there should be no reason why you can’t master a few good card tricks to entertain your friends.

While I know only a few card tricks, I make sure I have them right before I attempt them. There is nothing worse than someone who cannot yet do card tricks bumbling through the trick. If what you are doing is obvious to those around you, you aren’t doing the card tricks properly. If you search for magic or card tricks online, you may find tips to help you master your tricks.

My trick is great, and I learned it from an ex boyfriend who refused for the longest time to teach it to me. The trick involves someone choosing a card. Once the card is chosen, the card number and symbol are written on paper and folded up securely. That paper is then burned with a lighter until it is a pile of ashes. I then rub the ashes on the back of my hand and the number and symbol from the card they choose appears there. It’s always a hit. No matter what card tricks you want to do, make sure you do them right, or it’s not really a trick at all.
